Sinopsis
Los vecinos de uno de los barrios más pobres de la ciudad colombiana de
Bogotá luchan para evitar el derribo de la casa dónde viven, propiedad de
un millonario sin escrúpulos. Defendiendo el edificio contra jueces y
policías, planean una original estrategia ideada y dirigida por Don
Jacinto, un viejo anarquista español. La lucha contra los especuladores
y los corruptos está perdida antes de empezar, pero los vecinos están
dispuestos a hacer lo que sea para defender su dignidad.

Filmed in just five days, using the same set and much of the same cast
as Smoke (1995). The premise of the film came to directors Wayne Wangand
Paul Austerwhile watching an improvisation session with Harvey Keitel to
help himm get into character for filming Smoke (1995).
They decided that the improvisations were so funny that they would spend
a few days after shooting Smoke just filming film is almost entirely
improvised. Auster and Wang claim to have "borrowed" the idea of
shooting another movie on the back of an existing one from Roger
Cormanwho often used to shoot movies very quickly on leftover sets from
other productions.
